Nonionic self-emulsifying wax consisting of arachideth-20 and stearyl alcohol. By mixing 5-10%, emulsions with lamellar liquid crystal structure similar to intercellular lipids in skin can be prepared. The water retained in the liquid crystal structure enhances water retention capacity of the skin.

*IOB is calculated using representative values of fatty acid composition. The influence of extracts is not taken into consideration.
