Ether of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and cetyl alcohol derived from vegetable oil. It is a powdery, fat-soluble derivative with enhanced stability and transdermal absorption of vitamin C. It promotes the formation of normal type I collagen fiber bundles and inhibits the formation of wrinkles and sagging through the promotion of nitric oxide (NO) synthesis in dermal fibroblasts.
