In China, the supervision and administration system for cosmetics has been strengthened to protect consumer health and safety by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

Since May 1, 2025, the creation of “full version of cosmetic safety assessment report” is mandatory for all newly registered and notified products, demanding higher standards for safety management.
